Yakuza 0: Place of Oath Director’s Cut brings the iconic prequel of the Yakuza series to Nintendo Switch 2, enhanced with new content and features. Set in 1988, players step into the neon-lit streets of Tokyo and Osaka, where young Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima must fight, survive, and carve their destinies in the criminal underworld.
With three unique battle styles for each protagonist, players can enjoy thrilling and accessible combat full of action. This Director’s Cut includes new story scenes that reveal deeper layers of the characters and events, offering fresh insights even for longtime fans.
For the first time in the series, an online multiplayer mode – Kachi-Comi Online Battle – has been added, allowing up to 60 players to fight together using characters from across the Yakuza universe.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
